Honda hits 1,1 million BS6 selling mark for two-wheeler
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India have announced a new milestone achievement – clocking the country ‘s sales of over 1.1 million BS6 two-wheelers. The number shows Honda BS6 ‘s cumulative domestic sales of two-wheelers since the company launched its first BS6 model, the Activa 125, in September 2019. Including the modest 110cc Activa to the 1.084cc Africa Twin Adventure Sports, Honda has introduced as many as 11 BS6 two-wheeler versions in the country so far. Any of the latest updates on the Honda BS6 include the Grazia 125, Livo and the X-Blade.
The company adds that the Activa 6 G and the Shine 125 have garnered a major chunk of sales. It’s no wonder that the Activa 6 G is at the top of the chart, because it already reigns supreme in the scooter segment. The BS6 variant is a significant step-up from past Activas, with the most prominent new features being the telescopic front suspension, 12-inch front wheel and an exterior fuel fill cover.
Honda has also taken the chance to introduce more technology to its two-wheelers in the course of updating its engines to follow BS6 requirements, including the ACG silent-start mechanism and Engine Start Stop switch.
