Maruti Ignis Gets Feature Upgrades
A feature upgrade was given to the Maruti Suzuki Ignis, which received a facelift six months ago. The cross-hatch Zeta model (one below the top-spec Alpha) with the 7-inch Smartplay Studio touchscreen infotainment device is now sold with a more luxurious appeal. The update has led to a price rise of Rs 8,000, with the Zeta and Zeta AMT now valued at Rs 5.97 lakh and Rs 6.44 lakh, respectively.
The Smartplay software also handles the routing, voice commands, and feature sets for Google Auto and Samsung CarPlay. The Ignis Zeta drops out in second only to the top-spec Alpha variant on LED headlamps with DRLs, auto environment lock and rear parking system.
What the Zeta model gets are items that involve start / stop push buttons, alloy pedals, rear windshield wiper and defogger, and ORVMs for second-to-top-spec electric folding.
The Ignis comes with a single engine option: a 1.2-liter producing 83PS and 113Nm petrol motor. Drive is distributed through either a 5-speed manual transmission or an AMT gearbox.
