Aprilia Storm 125 disc-brake variant

Aprilia introduced Storm 125 with the brake-equipped disk at Rs 91,321. The higher-spec model was supposed to go on sale in March 2020 but it seems because of the pandemic it has been postponed. The higher-spec variant costs more than the standard Storm 125, which is priced at Rs 85,802, about Rs 5,500.

The brake-equipped variant of the disk would have been an alternative given right from the outset. A welcome addition to the performance-oriented Storm 125 will finally give it the necessary stopping capacity. The scooter would also lose out on ABS, though, and can just make up with a Combined Braking Device (CBS); a drum brake would start on the tail. It comes as no shock because the company will always want to hold expenses in control. Each version often includes a cluster of digi-analog devices, instead of the main model’s entirely analog set.

The basic Storm 125 continues to be the most affordable Aprilia product in India, given the Rs 22,000 price increase over BS4 mode. However, the new version equipped with a disc-brake costs around Rs 1,000 more than the standard SR 125, which comes with larger 14-inch wheels.
