BS6 Vespa VXL, SXL models launched in India
In India Piaggio India introduced the Vespa VXL and SXL variants in 2020. Unlike the majority of the Vespa line-up, there will be two engine options available for the scooters – 125cc and 150cc. The Vespa VXL 125 and the SXL 125 is priced respectively at Rs 1.10 lakh and Rs 1.14 lakh, while the VXL 150 is priced at Rs 1.22 lakh, and the SXL 150 is priced at Rs 1.27 lakh.
The manufacturer has dubbed the Vespa VXL and SXL ‘s 2020 versions the facelifts of their respective counterparts, but the improvements are minor from the looks of things. Updates involve installing a headlight for the Lead, DRLs and a port for the USB charging.
Mechanical systems remain similar to existing scooters SXL and VXL. The SXL 125 and VXL 125 are powered by a single-cylinder, 124.45cc fuel-injected engine that provides 9.9hp and 9.6Nm torque. Meanwhile, the SXL 150 and VXL 150 are powered by a single-cylinder, 149.5cc fuel-injected engine which produces 10.5hp and 10.6Nm torque. The scooters have always been physically similar.
