2020 Audi RS7 Sportback
Just two weeks ago, Audi India opened its order books for the RS7 Sportback and now the business revealed that the super sedan will make its debut on our platform on July 16 , 2020. The car will be the fourth in the updated India line-up of the German company, which comprises the A6 and A8 sedans as well as the Q8 SUV.
The new RS7 Sportback is the full blooded variant of the regular four-door coupe, second-gen A7. It distinguishes itself with various style indicators including a large front grill and air dams and a conspicuous rear diffuser with twin oval-shaped exhausts. Wider than the standard car, the RS7 wears 21-inch wheels as an optional extra that can bump up to 22-inchers. Expect that Audi will be selling the complete spectrum of customizations on the next edition.
The next-gen RS7 is new-age Audi on the ground. Taking center stage is a dual display configuration that is complemented by the interactive instrument cluster Virtual Cockpit of the automaker. The sporty pretensions of the platform are further accentuated by an RS flat-bottom steering wheel, paddle shifters, aluminium pedals and Alcantara polishing.
The RS7 is powered by a 4.0-liter, twin-turbo petrol V8 which pushes out a colossal torque of 600hp and 800Nm. The other headline number is only 3.6 seconds in 0-100kph range. The Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive system and an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox put power down on all four wheels.
Both included in the kit are 48V mild-hybrid feature and cylinder deactivation software, but do not anticipate the RS7 to climb any performance tables.
Orders for the RS7 can be made for a booking price of Rs 10 lakh on the Audi India website and at approved dealerships. The RS7 will be expensive as it is a full import with prices claimed to be upward of Rs 1.8 crore (ex-showroom). Deliveries are scheduled to begin in August 2020.
